Questions

What fields can a certificate have?

Whatever the template declares — names, courses, dates, scores, signatures, QR codes. GET /v1/templates/:id/fields lists them.

Can non-developers issue certificates?

Yes. Publish a form from the template or use the public n8n node. The Zapier and Make apps are private.

PDF or PNG?

Both. Choose format: "pdf", "png" or "webp" per request.

Are renders watermarked?

Renders from live API keys are not watermarked; test keys always watermark. See the docs on watermarks.

Is it free?

Yes. PixlDocs is free for 1 year from 3 October 2026 while we work with early users. You can try a real example with no account; a free account starts with 100 credits, and you can ask us for more free credits when you run out.
